By the highway N-120, that still will accompany us during many days and after to leave the town, the river Tirón is crossed by a stone bridge, recently has been constructed a footbridge, to avoid the risks of the intense traffic. It is followed by the highway finding immediately us with a gas station, and once surpassed this one, a way to the left is taken that moves us away about two hundred meters of the danger of the border and thus to arrive at the population of Tosantos. The way runs by the back part of the town and it is left back by tracks between cereal fields, with the silhouette of the church of Villambistia two kilometers of our sight.
All the towns of this stage are very small, to cross does not represent any difficulty to the pilgrim and with the same facility that was arrived now at Tosantos and at Villambistia, the traveller reaches following towns both: Espinosa del Camino and Villafranca Montes de Oca, that is separated to each other by little kilometres.
From Villafranca the thing changes radically, it is finished the cereals fields and begins the famous ones and feared mountains of Oca. The passage is very well signalised and is an authentic delight its route. The pilgrim feels that it is above on the tracks of million of travelling that preceded to him.
One back leaves the hospital, the church to our left and begins a hard and prolonged ascent until the heights of mounts of Oca, after a level, at the end of this one it is a monument to the pilgrim and from there, a length and rough slide almost beaten in parallel to N-120, that once surpassed finished the sufferings. About 6 kilometres of smooth and delicious reduction by a wooded zone separate us of one of the most emblematic places of the Way: San Juan de Ortega.
