The pilgrim already steps on La Rioja earth, of good wine and rich vegetables, but before he found the typical vineyards of the zone, must leave the city. The Rúa Vieja, where is the refuge, takes us until the historical door of the way and there to the circular of the Alféreces Provisionales, adorned with a beautiful source in its central part, from where the interminable street of Marques de Murrieta begins.
After passing through two gas stations, it is turned to the left by the street of Prado Viejo and later is crossed the railcar of circumvallation by a tunnel.
At the park of the Grajera it is arrived by a concentration track and nothing else to border the marsh is necessary to ascend to the stop of the same name, from where all the city of Logroño can be seen in our back and in the same way, to the other side of the hill, Navarrete is descried, that is reached once crossed N-120 and the railcar A-68. To 200 meters of this last reference one goes through the ruins of the old hospital of pilgrims of San Juan de Acre, whose facade was transferred and leaned to the cemetery of the town.
Navarrete is at the top of a hill, that it is necessary to ascend to arrive at the foot of his beautiful church, from where resumes the way towards Nájera.
Shortly after surpassing the cemetery of Navarrete when coming out, tracks are taken that parallel to the highway run between vineyards and thus it is walked until the Stop of San Antón, only section that slightly crosses a lost mountain moving away of the highway, until a point in which it is again with the main road to cross it and to follow by ways again surrounded by stocks.
Although Nájera already is seen the bottom, 8 kilometres of smooth reduction still separate to the pilgrim of the shelter and before it will have to pass by the industrial back room, dump zones and a small bridge. After crossing N-120 again, it will enter the historical inner city of the city by an urban passage of two long kilometres.
